Account Manager & Sales, Manufacturing

As an Account Manager & Sales you will be required to oversee customer accounts and sales within IMARK’s manufacturing division. The Account Manager & Sales is responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, maintaining accounts, writing orders, and providing IMARK’s exceptional customer service experience. Most of an Account Manager’s time is spent in the office environment; however, you will also be required to work closely with manufacturing to ensure product accuracy, timeliness, and quality control.

Main Duties

  • Communicate and maintain strong relationships with customers about products and project needs;
  • Maintain strong relationships and open lines of communication with suppliers;
  • Maintain strong relationships and open lines of communication with manufacturing team, administration, and shipping/receiving;
  • Provide customers with creative and innovative solutions to their building product needs;
  • Review blueprints and provide takeoffs;
  • Review and price orders;
  • Prepare all required documentation, including work orders and procurement documentation;
  • Review work orders and material requisitions for accuracy and acceptance;
  • Provide support to internal manufacturing department;
  • Establish delivery schedule with customers;
  • Establish manufacturing schedule with production and manufacturing;
  • Oversee purchasing management for sheet stock;

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

  • Knowledge of sales and manufacturing processes
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal in English)

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Email, ERP software and strong computer literacy
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to verbalize project drawings and specifications
  • Ability to talk to people outside of the organization
  • Ability to understand customer needs
  • Ability to offer alternative solutions to customers needs
  • Skills in sales and marketing
  • Ability to read tape measure, caliper, and an understanding of material thicknesses
  • Knowledge of construction jargon and building acumen
  • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings are considered an asset
  • Knowledge and abilities in CAD are considered an asset

Employment Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing sales, or related (ie construction sales)
    • Experience in cladding, sheet metal manufacturing or similar is considered an asset.
  • Completion of high school diploma is required minimum
