Quick Facts

The ridge on this project also acts as a low profile vent, providing the required venting need for the attic space. Adding traditional exposed ridge vents take away from the looks of the roof and introduce unneeded openings within the roof.

The Situation

The McKernan Community League required an update and expansion to the existing Facility.

The new Community League building opened in January of 2013. This new structure provides a much need gathering space for the Community League and is also home to the McKernan Child Care Society and the Alberta Adapt Abilities Program.

IMARK’s Approach

IMARK was contracted by Chandos Construction to supply and install an IMARK 1 ½”, 24 GA 16” wide mechanical standing seam roof panel and matching vented soffit. The construction was difficult on the 12/12 sloped roof, due to the slope each roof panel had to be passed up from the ground as need. Snow stops where added as required to prevent snow sliding from the roof and creating a hazard to people or property.
