A New Landmark Graces Edmonton’s Heart

The Journey to Installation

This week marked a significant milestone for IMARK as we initiated the delivery and installation of the Edmonton Sign, which has been a year-long project. Positioned directly in front of City Hall, this large sign serves as an interactive monument designed to engage the community and foster a lively atmosphere.

Our team meticulously planned and executed the installation, ensuring that every component came together seamlessly. We take immense pride in the collaborative effort from all teams involved in this project and look forward to seeing the sign serve as a splendid backdrop for many years to come.

Celebrating the Grand Unveiling of the Edmonton Sign

The IMARK team had an incredible experience at the grand unveiling of the new Edmonton Sign at Winston Churchill Square located in downtown Edmonton! This event was not only a celebration of art and community but also a chance to connect with Canadian Olympians who attended the festivities. We were especially thrilled to admire the stunning Indigenous art piece featured on the back of the sign, which adds a rich cultural element to this beautiful landmark.

As night falls, the Edmonton Sign lights up, casting a magical glow over our city and enhancing the vibrant atmosphere of downtown Edmonton. A heartfelt thank you to the City of Edmonton for hosting us and making this event truly unforgettable!

An Artistic Addition to Downtown Edmonton

Churchill Square has welcomed an impressive new addition to its urban landscape. The recently unveiled 32-foot-tall interactive sculpture promises to become a focal point for the city’s numerous events and celebrations. This innovative piece, crafted through a collaboration between a local design firm and Indigenous artists, pays homage to Alberta’s natural beauty.

The structure’s unique design invites visitors to engage with their surroundings in novel ways. Its roof allows viewers to frame the sky, to create a focused and pleasing view of the sun, clouds and stars. The sign’s reverse side serves as a canvas for rotating artworks, offering local creatives a platform to explore and express their concepts of home and community.

Illuminating Edmonton’s Spirit

At night, the installation comes alive with a dazzling light display of transitioning hues of blue and yellow. Advanced LED technology behind the city’s name generates vibrant patterns inspired by Alberta’s renowned skyscapes, from northern lights to breathtaking sunsets. This dynamic feature adapts to various celebrations, enhancing the city’s festive atmosphere during special occasions.

By blending artistic expression, cultural significance, and cutting-edge technology, this new installation promises to enrich Edmonton’s urban fabric for years to come.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on this momentous occasion, we are excited about how this new landmark will enhance community spirit and creativity in Edmonton. The IMARK team is proud to have played a role in bringing this vision to life. Here’s to many more celebrations under the glow of the Edmonton Sign!
